The classic children’s story of The Wind in the Willows was originally published in 1908, but it was the 1931 edition that first featured the iconic characters drawn by E.H. Shepard, including Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger.
The new The Wind in the Willows brand and website www.wind-in-the-willows.com is the first stage in a programme of work by Nucleus and the E.H. Shepard Trust to bring the work of this prolific English illustrator to the attention of a worldwide mobile digital audience.
The official website will grow over the coming months, showcasing original E.H. Shepard illustrations from The Wind in the Willows, plus other work which includes drawings for Punch, other book illustrations, including his collaborations with A.A. Milne on Winnie-the-Pooh, and drawings illustrating his two volumes of autobiography.
